Gluten Free Information
What is Gluten?
Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. Many people are intolerant or allergic to gluten, and must eliminate it from the food they eat as well as from the beauty, hair, and body products they use.
Gluten can be hidden in various ingredients. It can be found in the most unsuspecting places. One place, for example, is in hair care products with (Hydrolyzed wheat proteins and amino acids). Granted, you wouldn't intentionally ingest your shampoo, but highly sensitive people could be affected by gluten in products that touch the skin. Also, if your hair or body products contain gluten, that gluten can now be on your hands and transfer to the next thing you touch.
Only up until a few years ago, it was nearly impossible to find gluten-free beauty, hair, and body products. It was about as easy as finding a bobby pin in a beauty haystack. Fortunately, today it is a little bit easier to access these products through fantastic lines like Uber . If you suspect gluten is giving your skin and scalp a hard time, eliminating anything with "wheat," "rye", or "barley" in the ingredient name is highly recommended.
Anyone who is gluten intolerance should avoid gluten-containing beauty, hair, and body products. That's especially true for those that could potentially be ingested or inhaled, like lipsticks, face wash, facial moisturizers, hand soap and cream, toothpaste, mouthwash, hair spray, shampoo, and conditioner.
Uber has made a special effort to produce an amazing line of products that EVERYONE can enjoy, including people who are gluten intolerant.
